Bethany Potempa, PMHNP, is a board-certified Psychiatrist and Mental Health Nurse who focuses her practice on treating adults and children ages 12 and older.
Bethany, who also goes by Beth, sees patients at EQ Perspectives in Burr Ridge, Illinois, a partial hospitalization center specializing in treating patients with various mental health disorders. She provides personalized and comprehensive care in person and by telehealth.
She completed her undergraduate in Nursing (BSN) at Loyola University, followed by a Master’s in Nursing and Psychiatric Mental Health at the University of St. Francis.
Bethany has many years of experience working in the residential and PHP (partial hospital program) setting, where she believes all behaviors tell a story as to the emotional state of a person. She also has vast experience working in all levels of care, from inpatient to residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient.
She always brings her compassionate listening skills to identify the issues most affecting her patients and believes that recovery and change are always possible. She works hard to generate awareness about pressing mental health issues, behavioral problems, and eating disorders.
