I believe with the right therapist and where you go to therapy can be a key to helping on the journey to a happier healthier life and that's what I found by going to therapy at Hartford Counseling. Carmen's office is a homie type Show moreatmosphere which makes it easy to talk to her there at her office. Carmen is easy to talk to and she listened to me and we came up goals to accomplish for me to have that happier healthier life. Carmen helps me with taking one step at a time to accomplish my goals.
Our daughter with Down syndrome has only Medicare and Medicaid coverage for healthcare. It is extremely hard to find a counselor that will take the low compensation offered. We were grateful to find Carmen and willing to travel Show morea little over 1/2 hour to see her. Having had an aunt with Down syndrome, she was willing to establish a relationship and communicate with our daughter. It has been good to have another caring adult to listen to her concerns and help steer reactions to situations.

Carmen has been a good support for our daughter with Down syndrome. She gets a report for parent(s) about what activities Inga has participated in, what was a challenge and what she might want to speak about. Inga talks with Carmen after parent has left them alone. Carmen makes suggestions for how we may identify feelings and has even made a couple of visuals for her to work with.
Carmen was a great therapist for my son and really helped him deal with some of the concerns and challenges. She was super professional and helpful.

Carmen is so easy to talk to and after seeing her for a while now my life really has changed. I have depression and anxiety and Carmen has helped me with both of these problems I have. Carmen is so understanding and helpful . Carmen really cares about helping people she sees to have a better happier life and it is sure helping and working for me.
