About Mr. Donald Sloane, LCSW

Donald F. Sloane, LCSW, Director of the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, St. Louis, Inc., has over 40 years of clinical experience. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, he coordinated outpatient and inpatient programs at Jewish Hospital’s Behavioral Medicine Center from 1982 to 1987. During this time, Don specialized in relaxation training, biofeedback, and Cognitive Behavioral treatment of a variety of stress and pain related disorders including chronic headaches, back pain, Raynaud's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, as well as depression related to kidney disease and diabetes. Don specializes currently in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders. His work with a phobic patient was recognized in Newsweek, May 1986. Don has a great interest in Mindfulness training, from both the Eastern and Western perspectives. In addition to his experience in behavioral medicine, Don has practiced meditation and yoga techniques since 1969.
