About Dr. Emma Cohan, PsyD

I grew up in the Boston area and attended Bryn Mawr College as an undergraduate. In recent years I have completed my Psy.D. program at Pacific University in Oregon, internship at Keene State College in New Hampshire, and postdoc at Boston College University Counseling Services in Massachusetts. With this whirlwind of training behind me, I am thrilled to be settling into my Colorado life and career. As an avid hiker and rock climber, I am excited to make the most of the endless outdoor activities that this beautiful, sunny state has to offer. In therapy, my first intention is to create a safe, affirming, and authentic therapeutic alliance with my clients. We then work collaboratively to identify what types of goals and supports are needed to move toward valued actions and positive gains. I utilize integrative therapeutic strategies that include cognitive-behavioral, affective, experiential, and mindfulness-based techniques, which I tailor to the client’s unique concerns.

Insurance: My fee for a standard 50-minute therapy session is $250. I require payment by credit card, cash, or check at the time of service for the expected patient portion. I am in network with many of the major insurance companies - however, I am unable to accept Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). I am also happy to help with out-of-network billing if needed.
