Started the weight loss plan with Dr. Shepherd last time that I went to see him. This time I waited 30 minutes, and met with a nurse practitioner student that was very helpful. Then, when the nurse practitioner came in she was verShow morey short with me and refused to prescribe me anything even though the weight loss plan called for it and I hadn’t met my goal. Very inconsistent and irritating. I feel like if I would have met with another provider the outcome may have been much different.

I had the best visit I have had in a while. I had a Nurse Practioner ( sorry I can't remember her name ) and she was so easy to talk to and made me feel very at ease and valued. Thank you Doctor Shepard for hiring such skillful people.
Once walking into Dr.Shepherds office you see THE smiling faces of office staff and nurses eager to assist. Dr.Shepherd is aware when a patient is coming and has reviewed your file in order for the nurse to follow up prior to seeing the patient.Dr.Shephered is a thorough and understanding Phisician and I am proud on recommending him at anytime.Thank you.
Dr. Shepherd has been my PCP for about 4 years and he has always acted very proffessional and always answers my question and I never feel rushed when he is spending time with me. The office staff is always very courtious and friendly.

I saw an different nurse practitioner today, Jean. And she was was amazing and thorough and actually got me into the exam room ten minutes early! She really took the time to talk to me and explain all I needed to know.
I am so thrilled to have had such an excellent doctor recommended to me! Dr. Shepherd truly cares about the wellness of his patients in every area. After entering his weight loss program, my blood pressure has gone down, walking is no longer painful, and I feel great after only one month...and have actually Lost 13.8 lbs!

I value the fact that when I walked in the door they know my name. If I call for an appointment with something that's going on with me they can usually get me in that day. And I appreciate that.
I have been very pleased with my care and services at Shepherd Health. My only complaint is with the billing dept and their inability to correctly submit insurance claims. For weeks, I called repeatedly to speak with someone in billing, but they were always busy, promising to call back. I never received a call back. I emailed billing but neglected to receive a response or reply. This is a critical part of office management that needs more prompt attention.
Dr. Shepherd has been my Dr off and on since around the time that Lewisville Hospital was built in 1976. He is a very good Dr. In my opinion. He takes good care of his patients and is very helpful. Dr. Shepherd is a kind and caring Dr. You will never see me say or write a bad review on this Dr.

I had an injury to my arm, and he saw me immediately. He clearly explained details of the type of injury I had, treated it, then provided directions to my care of it after I left. He and his staff were very polite and professional.

Love this Dr's office the staff is awesome! Nurses are our personal cheerleaders as we are in their awesome weightloss program! Dr Shepherd is a great motivator
