As a woman of color I have been gaslit by several therapists into thinking that I do not need medication despite several clinical diagnoses for anxiety related disorders since early adulthood. Dr. Jean Baptiste prescribed me a lowShow more dose, uncontrolled medication and it made the world of difference. I will always be eternally grateful that someone listened to me and gave me the chance to start healing and living a better quality of life. She is truly a wonderful prescriber and person.

About Fahimir Jean-Baptiste

Fahimir Jean-Baptiste, PMHNP-BC, is an ANCC board certified Psychiatrist Mental Nurse Practitioner. Fahimir has her Master of science in Nursing from Hofstra University School and has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Molloy College. Her clinical career took her on a journey through the healthcare system, from inpatient to outpatient settings. She manages and treats a wide range of mental health concerns including Major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and ADHD. I’ve been with Doctor Fahimir for about a month now , and I love how understanding she is. She takes her time to listen to my concerns. If a medication is not working for me , she tries to understand why and branch out to other medications. She doesn’t rush our sessions nor does she judges me. She’s extremely patient with me as well. I genuinely appreciate her.
