I was in a bad place and Mr. Surrency saw me on a weekend when he was not even open. He talked to me for an hour and then sent me paperwork and met with me again later. He is very passionate about helping people and listens and suShow moreggests other resources for trauma outside of medication. I'm so glad he picked up that call and helped me. Almost 2 months later and I'm thriving. I'm so grateful and will be with him for a long time. I highly recommend him for anyone that needs help
I was in a really dark place in my life and didn’t know how I was going to make it minute by minute. My first session, Mr. Surrency sat and talked to me for over 2 hours. Awesome Therapist. I am learning the techniques given to keep calm and my problems together. Military life is tough, but not getting the proper help is tougher. After 20 years in the USN I am getting the help 22 years later.
Coming from dealing with VA providers, and only one other civilian provider, this was the first time I really felt cleared about, listen too that everything I said mattered and everything I had experience over many years was tied to the various symptoms I was having and it all finally makes sense. The provider was very knowledgeable and my concerns mattered. This provider offered way more solutions for me and truly addressed I stead of filling some script with limited options like the VA does.
My favorite thing about this practice is that they don’t try me or my mental health problems into a box. I’m treated like an individual that they are invested in.

Wow! What can I say? When I first came to Mr. Surrency, I was a lost cause due to my Navy Tamas. I have never received any help. The trauma was so bad I kept it bottle up for years. I don't really know what triggered them but they came back with a vengeance. He was highly recommended by my PCM. I have been going now for many months and I am now getting the help I needed and deserved. Thank you so Gerry Surrency.

Dr. Surrency is someone who cares about your well-being. He makes you feel comfortable from the moment he greets you. His knowledge and experience have helped me a great deal. I’ve improved so much since I’ve been under his care and am so grateful to him. His office assistant, Ms. Tangie is amazing as well - she’s actually why booked the appointment to begin with! I had another provider schedule, but she made me cancel with them because she was so great & EXTREMELY patient with me when I called.
I came in not sure what to expect. Mr. Surrency welcomed me in and relaxed me fir the start. He asked me oersinal questions about me. Who I am, where I am from, my work history and background. Then he asked why I was here. And I explained. Just to have someone understand what I am going through and want to listen and help. WOW! Thank you.
