I had a full Nissen Fundoplication in 2005 and it had loosened over the years. I contacted 2 medical facilities in 2019 to have it redone because of my acid reflex issues. I was told that it was complicated because of a hiatal hShow moreernia and might be dangerous due to my age and respiratory underlying conditions. I was recently prescribed a more potent reflex medication. I was referred to Dr. Woodworth by the National Jewish Health in Denver. I was able to schedule an appointment fairly quickly. Dr. Woodworth performed a robotic labroascopic redo surgery for me. The hernia was removed and a partial fundoplication was done. I was very happy as this is what I wanted done in 2019. Three weeks out and I am healing well from the surgery with no more reflux. I would definitely recommend Dr. Woodworth to anyone who is seeking a nissan redo surgery.
The surgical team was very friendly & helpful with explaining post op instructions the day of surgery. I was able to be checked in swiftly. Waited about 15 minues in the waiting room. Surgery was scheduled for 9:45am. They brougShow moreht me back to the operating room at 9:25/9:30am. W/ other surgeries I have had always seems you aren't even brought back till the scheduled start or later. I also appreciated the direct call from Dr. Woodworth the day after to see how I was doing.

Dr Woodworth was very efficient , caring, willing to answer any questions and seemed very thorough (for what I know ) on the tests which is the main thing. He provided a fairly detailed summary to me in paper right after the procedure which was nice and rare these days.

Dr. Woodworth was kind and caring as he gave me the tooth. Options of what is ahead for me. I felt supported. I felt comfortable with his expertise level and communication. The only thing that brought down the general interaction with the office was the difficulty getting a hold of people by phone. The calls went to voicemail and I would prefer to talk to someone in person at the time I call whenever possible.
I’m not sure how anything could have been improved. Everyone i dealt with was professional and friendly. I always felt like i was in good hands. So far my result are better than expected for the 24 hours that have passed since i was released. I feel great.
