I absolutely love having Erin as my son psychiatrist with Everything qe are going through she is very understanding and listens to what you have to say and takes that into consideration. She takes the time to get to know the situaShow moretion and your child as well as you as the parent. In addition she has first hand experience in her own life in some of the things I'm dealing with as a parent in terms of situations with my child so she true knows what we are going through/dealing with. I recommend her!
I've never felt more at home coming to Walnut Creek this place really take pride and joy into what they do to help their patients! I absolutely love Erin! Clearly demonstrates active listening. I feel like she is consistently on my "well being" providers.
Real, open communication is often difficult for me. Dr. Fox-Hammel has always been an active listener. If clarification is needed, she has consistently let me know rather than assuming. Every person that I have interacted with on the staff has been absolutely brilliant to work with. I would do some name dropping but I, apparently, have some type of "Review writing performance anxiety". They have all felt like teammates with the goal of better health.

It's refreshing to find someone humble, personable, knowledgeable, willing to think outside the box when it comes to mental health. I have an inherent distrust/mistrust for the medical community in Iowa after a series of life-threatening misdiagnoses and 18 months of life bedridden, unable to do any of the things I wanted/needed. Erin wasn't dismissive, skeptical, or condescending. She was quick to discern what was needed; 3 wks later my life was returning to me. I had nearly lost hope.
